Home Stagers' August Message

Welcome to August's issue

I can't believe how quickly this year is going - AND the policemen are definitely getting younger. It's a sure sign I'm getting older!!

Firstly I want to say a fond adieu to Tina who's on her mission to the USA to promote Home Staging, to spread the word and fly the flag. Their economy needs her even more than ours! We already miss you Tina, and look forward to your frequent trips back. We know you're going to be as successful over the water as you are here.

Back here in Blighty, Home Stagers continues to go from strength to strength - we've just recorded our best month for business ever, and this highlights the fact that the services we offer are becoming ever more important to developers, investors and the general public alike.

You’ve met Tina and me in past issues of the newsletter, and now I’d like to introduce you to Steve Kerslake – the third Home Stagers Musketeer!

Steve is the Director of our Show Homes division, and his job is to ensure that just the right style of furniture is ordered for our clients, and that each job runs like clockwork.

The Show Homes division is a key element at Home Stagers HQ, as it allows our stylists to be confident that, whatever the challenges of a given project, they can rely on Steve to deliver the furniture and furnishings they need, on time and on budget, for perfect staging. And our commercial clients rely on him too, for staging their show homes and apartments at just the right time in their build.

This month I have been attending a property auction for Home Stagers to see what bargains are available and I discovered some very interesting facts. My editorial assistant Lois gives you some marvellous tips on how to take a great property picture and there are two extremely informative articles on buying and selling property in this climate. Make sure you have a look at both. There's a brilliant article from Tina who founded Home Stagers during a time like this when there was lots of negative equity, and she shows how vital it is to stage your property when you sell. Last, there's a heart warming article from Gail Hammond on why she changed her life and became an Interior Designer.
